Spring's coming along nicely, thank you. We're hoping for a bumper crop of lilacs!

At Eastertime, we had the Polish treat called chrusciki (spelled something like that). It's a delicious fried dough dessert thing that's covered in powdered sugar. There were just some crumbs and sugar left in a plastic bag I threw out.
Well, who knew foxes have a sweet tooth? He probably was covered in powder when he finally climbed out of the trash bin. Probably the same little guy we've seen around since last winter.

Fresh From the Studio

A hand-tied spring bouquet for milady to carry. Also nice for outdoor entertaining:

And for Easter, someplace to put those boiled eggs:

Hands off my progeny!

Something the Flower Lady composed recently. Some Easter-y colors.
Meanwhile outdoors:

The hellebores, full-bore. I checked over the state of the estate this morning. We have some nice tete-a-tetes or however you spell them, but no daffodils. It's been a rough winter. Our grass is kind of gray-looking and the garden is a pile of muck. In fact, as a responsible steward of the land, I have to say, "Boy, what a mess!" Our work is cut out for us. Wish us luck!
