June Report

A stately arrangement recently made by the Flower Lady for a customer.
Here's another arrangement, using some orchids salvaged from an office setting:

One of the Flower Lady's students is quite the horticulturalist, and gave the FL an assortment of hosta leaves cut from her garden:

And I make another blog appearance. The FL snapped me gathering blueberries, As you can see, I have constructed an elaborate defense system against thieving catbirds.
Don't think me cruel, I left the birds two bushes, including my second-best bearer.

Happy Mother's Day!

For a certain type of Mom. You know who you are.
Mother's Day Brunch.
Meanwhile, outside, the Flower Lady made a living arch from a bit of branch:
And, didn't I say a bumper crop?

Stirrings of Spring

The Flower Lady has been busy with creative endeavors.

Also, we have good reason to believe the ducks are back in our Hidden Valley and hard at work on the next generation of mallards.

Meanwhile, my crack team of pollination experts are seeing to this season's blueberry crop:

Good luck to all God's creatures!

Spring's coming along nicely, thank you. We're hoping for a bumper crop of lilacs!

At Eastertime, we had the Polish treat called chrusciki (spelled something like that). It's a delicious fried dough dessert thing that's covered in powdered sugar. There were just some crumbs and sugar left in a plastic bag I threw out.
Well, who knew foxes have a sweet tooth? He probably was covered in powder when he finally climbed out of the trash bin. Probably the same little guy we've seen around since last winter.

Fresh From the Studio

A hand-tied spring bouquet for milady to carry. Also nice for outdoor entertaining:
Another, all wrapped up:
And for Easter, someplace to put those boiled eggs:

Hands off my progeny!
